More than anything, The Originals City, Hotel du Parc, Avignon East is a little slice of history. “This building is 300 years old, and was originally the Entraigues-sur-la-Sorgue coaching inn for travellers and their horses,” Éric says, "but with the arrival of the motor car, the inn fell into disuse and the land became used for farming. In 1990 an entrepreneurial hotelier decided to breathe new life into the place, transforming it into the hotel it is today”. Éric and Valérie came into the story in 2012, and have run this entirely-renovated old house ever since. Old-world charm and modern comforts fill all of the 30 rooms at this 3-star hotel near Avignon, which also offers dining facilities and meeting rooms. It is a real voyage through time, only a few kilometres outside of Avignon.

The Originals City, Hotel du Parc, Avignon East restaurant is a stone’s throw from the hotel itself, offering guests a seasonal menu every afternoon and evening (except on Sundays). Breakfast is served in the hotel’s dining room on a wonderful buffet table decorated in classic Provençal style. Unless, of course, you would rather enjoy your breakfast with a fresh glass of orange juice outside on the terrace under the shade of the plane trees.

LE MÛRIER

Opened in March 2018, The Originals City, Hotel du Parc, Avignon East new restaurant was named after the mulberry trees encircling the terrace. There’s no menu here, set or otherwise. The focus is on fresh, seasonal produce. As such, the blackboard is made out according to the day's deliveries and the chef’s inspiration.

Surrounded by 60 hectares of lush parkland, 5 lakes and typical Provençal plant life (such as lavender, olive and cypress trees), the Golf Grand Avignon is a prime golfing destination. The 18-hole course, set over 5828 metres with a par of 72, has a slope rating of 141 and par-3, -4 and -5 holes.

THEME PARK

Wave Island is the number one water theme park in France. Its 17 attractions include the largest lazy river in Europe and the biggest wave machine in the world, as well as plenty of other attractions for visitors little and large! Open from June to September. The comic book-themed Spirou Park will also open in time for the 2018 season, with around fifteen rides and activities for all the family. Over the course of the next 6 years, this should increase to around 25-30 high-quality attractions.
