The customer experience is the priority for the former hotel-restaurants manager for the Futuroscope site. “A happy guest is one whose stay stands out from the ordinary or who experiences a different form of hotel service and appreciates the way everyone goes out of their way to make it a nice stay.” Jean-Jacques took over Hotel & SPA du Domaine des Thômeaux, The Originals Relais in 2016 with a new concept in mind: to make the beautiful 17th century Touraine manor house a place for a relaxing getaway in the centre of Mosnes, a quiet village near Amboise. Today, this charming 3-star hotel in Mosnes has 29 rooms based on different countries and a 400m2 spa with a swimming pool, sauna, steam room and gym. The restaurant combines local and international flavours to create a wonderful experience for couples or families combining tradition, modernity, originality and character!

Jean-Jacques likes to say: “Keep coming back to the Domaine des Thômeaux, that way you can travel to the four corners of the Earth!” This charming hotel’s 37 double or triple rooms each have a unique character with their personalised decor of furniture, paintings and unusual items relating to Latin America, the Far East, Rajasthan or Cameroon... Three cottages have been opened on the estate for families with a sea theme at the edge of the woods.

In the very well lit restaurant you will be taken on a culinary voyage combining the best of the Touraine region with international flavours. A breakfast buffet is served in the same room with local flavours including 6 varieties of homemade jam, honey made on site, dairy products from local farms and an assortment of tea made in the region. At the château bar you can sit beneath the glass roof and enjoy the creations of local wine growers with a view of the grounds’ 200-year-old cedar tree.

Traditional, simple, quality, homemade cuisine. Behind the piano, the chef Didier Herembert and his team combine fresh, local and seasonal products with spices and exotic notes to create a culinary delight with local and international flavours. You have the access to the spa: swimming pool, sauna & hammam. Access is subject to reservation of a 45-minute session (12 to 15 people maximum/session).
