Marc took over the management of The Originals Boutique, Hotel Terminus, Bourg-en-Bresse Station in 2006. A change of life for this former salesman at a large computer group, he did a professional 180 and today is thriving in management and guest contact. It must be said that the setting of this 3 star Bourg-en-Bresse hotel is pleasant. A nineteenth century building hiding a 5000 m2 park with old trees out back. Upon crossing the threshold into the entrance hall, you are immediately captivated by the majestic setting. Carved ceiling, mosaic floors, period furniture and counter, the second empire stopped here. The 48 recently renovated rooms have also retained their old-fashioned charm, while leaving room for modern comfort. A welcoming, smiling and caring team. A lovely experience.

Marc says the espresso he offers is “exceptional” like the rest of the products offered with the breakfast buffet. To be enjoyed indoors or in the park, the perfect place to enjoy a drink from the bar. The hotel does not offer a restaurant on site (the train station area has everything you need), but it offers the concept of “In-Room Snacks or Small Dishes”, a range of cooked dishes available at reception.

BOURG-EN-BRESSE

The capital of Ain is a pleasant city that has maintained a heritage testifying its successive developments and changes. The pretty historic centre has some old buildings: half-timbered houses dating back to the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries and the Porte des Jacobins dating from 1437, the remains of an ancient monastery. But the biggest attraction of the city is the Royal Monastery of Brou, a flamboyant Gothic masterpiece commissioned by Margaret of Austria. Bourg-en-Bresse is also a gastronomic capital, famous for Bresse chickens (AOC). Every year since 1862 in mid-December, the “Glorieuses de Bresse” is held, a famous fine poultry competition honouring Bresse poultry rearers.
